About Quality Management InitiativeMore about programme
FATA Basic Health Programme has taken a unique step towards total quality management. In order to have error- free reporting and to facilitate the process of effective decision-making at the government level, a new management information system for the TB Control Programme has been launched in phase 1. The project is named as Electronic Management Information System (EMIS). TB-EMIS is specifically designed for quality reporting, inventory control and automated patient record system.
TB-EMIS is one of its kinds among the other MIS projects being launched in the public health sector of Pakistan. The gap of instantaneous availability and processing of TB related information in FATA will be filled by this system.
In the first phase of hands-on trainings, the training of staff at Khyber agency diagnostic centers on EMIS is already completed.
